Yaritza Rodriguez, MSW, MHP, LICSW, LCSW

Yaritza Rodriguez is a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience supporting individuals through trauma, crisis, and life’s challenges. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Spanish from Central Washington University, followed by a Master of Social Work with a focus on advanced clinical practice from Walla Walla University. Her career has been shaped by a deep commitment to community service, advocacy, and healing. Yaritza has worked with individuals of all ages, from mentoring at-risk students and developing educational plans to assisting with counseling activities for a cancer survivor program for elderly adults. Her experience in crisis intervention includes working in residential services, psychiatric hospitals, and as a Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) in Benton and Franklin counties, where she conducted mental health assessments and connected individuals to the appropriate level of care.

As a therapist, Yaritza specializes in working with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, generational, and complex trauma. She has provided therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups in office, school, and telehealth settings, using a holistic and trauma-informed specialist approach. She is trained in and utilizes evidence-based trauma treatment modalities, ensuring that her clients receive effective and research-supported interventions tailored to their healing journey. In addition to therapy, Yaritza conducts mental health evaluations for immigration purposes, providing comprehensive assessments.

With over a decade of experience working with multicultural and immigrant communities, she is deeply committed to addressing the unique challenges they face. As a first-generation Chicana and daughter of migrant parents, Yaritza understands the barriers many individuals encounter and strives to create a safe, empowering space for healing. She actively engages in ongoing education and training to enhance her skills and provide the highest level of care.

Her mission is to help individuals navigate their healing journey with compassion, without judgement, resilience, and a sense of empowerment as they reclaim their lives and well-being.

Approach:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is the primary modality that I use, but in collaboration with my clients they can also expect interventions from an eclectic approach, meaning I utilize and draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavior, strength-based, person-centered, multicultural, and mindfulness amongst others to personalize treatment for each client and help them reach their goals. I offer a safe, non-judgmental place where you can let your guard down and freely discuss and process your experiences.

Modalities: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Trauma informed approach, Somatic Experience, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Breathwork, Trauma-Focus CBT, multicultural Counseling, Mindfulness, Eclectic, SFBT, DBT, Inner Child Work, and Positive Psychology.

Focus: Adolescents 13+, young adults, and adults. Complex trauma, Multicultural individuals, Latino population, immigrants and members of immigrant families, acculturation, first-generation Americans, women’s Issues, relationship issues, life transitions, adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, family issues, stress, low self-esteem, body image issues, parenting, coping skills, and Christian-based services available by request.
